Shown here exhibited at Sutton Gallery, 100 Years (2016) celebrates the centenary of Kasimir Malevich's Black Square (1915) this digital animation meditates on one abstract work, for one minute, from each year since 1915. The surround sound soundscape sometimes responds to the movement of the animation at other times it makes reference to events occurring in the same year. In the excerpt below you can hear the first transatlantic phone call between W. S. Gifford, president of the American Telephone & Telegraph Company, and Sir Evelyn P. Murray, secretary of the General Post Office of Great Britain, in 1927.
